Our primary mission is to support programs targeted at fostering and enhancing the academic, leadership, and social skills of youth within the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area, particularly those who are considered at risk. We award grants for programs at community-based organizations that are aligned with our mission; we also provide post-secondary scholarships to young adults.

Minnesota Educators and Superintendents’ Forum - a partnership with St. Thomas that features superintendents from across the metro area with a Q&A policy and discussion series.

An annual fundraising tournament that serves to support, develop, and enhance the club’s giving efforts to academic, leadership, and social projects/programs for youth within the Minneapolis/St. Paul area that are challenged by socioeconomic circumstances, providing opportunities for youth to develop their full potential.

The retreat is an annual gathering designed to reconnect members and motivate the body, mind, and spirit of attendees, creating conversational opportunities for discussion and the adoption of current and future club activities.

The gala is the signature club social event and the main fundraiser of the year. The gala showcases members and their spouses, partners, and the community. The holiday gala is a top-ticket event, featuring five-star meals, live bands, speakers, and deejays. The gala enhances our giving efforts to specific, local projects and programs for youth within the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area that are challenged by socioeconomic circumstances, providing opportunities for youth to realize their full potential.

The Monitors Club was founded by two young, Black professionals who were living in south Minneapolis.

The Monitors Foundation was established as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
